Hi,
Does that scale material require sealing or anything? how does one maintain it? - Looking into buying some.

Thanked: 85I just sanded the horn and polished it on my buffing wheel. It does not have any type of sealant or anything. So far, so good.
I think the the most common problems people encounter with horn are warping and horn beetles (carpet beetles).
By the way, this blade has turned out to be an excellent shaver.

Thanked: 85Brando, they are stainless steel washers from Small Parts. I don't remember exactly which size I used.
