I cracked it at the pivot pin a few weeks ago when i decided to get rid of the adjustable fastner...
I'm not sure if I am sold on the wood scales, may order some micarta or acrylic and see how that looks.
Use red acrylic for the wedge and brass for the pins. Finish is wipe on poly.

Cool old razor.
Maybe the timber just needs a different approach or finish. A few hours of progressive sanding up to 2k grit often brings out the best, but if you already did that just ignore meThe white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.
