Thread: W&B in Gabon Ebony

6/8 wedge W&B restored in Gabon Ebony with white pearl acrylic wedge.
Brass and Stainless steel washers with brass pins.
The wood is finished with wipe on poly.
Alan wanted me to keep as close to the original as possible. The original razor had blond horn scales , but as per Alan's request I went black for the scales.
The razor has a ton of pitting and there is still some left on a few spots.
What I found interesting was the etch on the blade (too faint to take readable pic of), something in the line of "The unconditional Surrender, razor manufactured by Wade and Butcher". Never seen such wording before.

My first job on a buffer, there is a lot of room to improve.

Nice job. Authentic look

Gorgeous! I like that the scales are faithful to the original shape, though the material's changed. I find myself too often tempted to stray from that when I rescale. It shows you don't have to.
