    Actually, Mike got it. It's the sword bone from a swordfish. It's very hard, takes an amazing polish, is completely waterproof and has a beautiful grain.

    Nice blades and unusual scale material.

    awwww, he beat me to it! I almost bought a big chunk of it in the antique store the other day, but they wanted almost as much as you can get it for fresh off the internet and it had a crack in it. They were even advertising it as whalebone. I left it for the next sucker.

    I didnt know you could dye it though. That is Really neat! Great job all around.

    Swordfish Bone? Really? Very cool!

    So you can shave with the scales or the razor? Dual purpose, I like it.
