Rescales in horn
Jr and I were in the shop this weekend. We rescaled a Wade & Butcher and a Wostemholm in horn. CarrieM preped the horn for us then we had at it. Gotta say, it was stinky, stinky, stinky! All I could smell all day was horn, even when we weren't anywhere near the house! Some before and after pics, W&B first.

Joe, you have no idea how much I appreciate that you restore these to like-new condition! I lvoe to see razors in replacement scales whenever possible... not space-age paint-stick psychotropically-active scales.

I love a good horn rescaling. Good work.
Is it the angle or did you lose a bit of blade width on the tip of the W&B?

Thanks. The toe on the W&B was a little narrower when we got it and was not due to restoring. It's not marked Sheffield so I'm guessing it and older one that was reground into a hollow. It is a sweet shaver though. The hollow point (barber's notch) goes almost to the bevel leaving an extreme spike point! A thrill to shave with.
