Default Gold Bug in rescaled in Bubinga

This is my first set of scales. The wedge pinning isn't great, but it will do for now. Finished in Minwax fast drying polyurethane. Thanks to all those that provided tips, advice, suggestions and encouragement.

Couple more pictures. One of the razor closed, and one just for Glen.

Uh oh, Glen... Someone copied the balancing act!

Nice work on the scales! The finish worked well, I think.

I think 5 or 6, but the first couple were really thin as you suggested.

The whole balanced scale thing was just dumb luck for me, I didn't even think about that aspect when I came up with the design.

I have said dozens of times that it is pretty easy to accomplish, just so long as you don't get crazy with the scales... I realize that it started a whole big brouhaha with olé whats his name, but I learned this from taking apart old razors, and one of the things I noticed was the balance point, so I just tried to copy it...
Plus it kinda makes sense that if you at least target that spot, the razor should be at least close to balancing right in your hand...
