'Chinese' Wade & Butcher in Horn
Yep, another horn. I've had the horn for a while waiting for nice weather and now it's time to have at it! Some of you mat recall that I worked the blade over the winter but now it's finished! Nickel silver pins, sterling silver do dad at the spacer, domed ss washer at the pivot and of course, horn for the scales. The first picture is for a friend Hope you enjoy the razor porn. I can wait till Jr gets to see this one. He probably won't until our SRP meet in May.

Awesome work Joed!
I really like the stud-like domed washers at the pivot. The fancy-schmancy things at the wedge end I could do without..but..great craftsmanship

Beautiful Joed. A real classic

Great looking scales. What's the story behind the kanji?

The main reason for my involvement in razors and restorations is to have something my son and I can do together. He is 15 now and we have been shaving with straight and hobby restoring for almost two years now. One of the razors we restored was this one: http://straightrazorpalace.com/custo...nfodder-2.html and he really liked the results so we decided that the large Wade and Butchers we restored would have that sterling silver kanji/do dad on the spacer end. It's different but seeing it in your hand it really looks quite good. The pictures only being 2D takes something away from it. As long as he is happy with it. When I'm at the great SRP in the sky he will these razors to remember our time together.
