    Thanks, guys. I used my 8" wheel, but I stopped maybe 1/8" short of the spine, so the grind is similar to the 8/8s I've done. It's more like a half hollow. With how thin I'm grinding the edge now, the razor has a little more auditory feedback than you might expect on a big heavy blade. They sharpen so much more easily if you get the edge down to just .001" or .002". There's just not much steel to remove at that point.
