IXL in mulitcoloured horn
Hi Guys,
Heres my Wostenholm IXL square point that I've just today rescaled in buffalo horn (the original black plastic ones were broken). Its about 20mm from spine to edge, (I dont work in fractions - about 25/32"?) so nice and large. The blade was in pretty good shape to begin with, only a mm or so of hone wear, a rusty tang and some stains on the blades faces. The wedge is Aluminium.
Im sure the blade could get a bit shinyer, but I'm pretty happy with how it all turned out with hand sanding and polishing. Hoping to get sorted with a buffer at some stage soon.
Still polish and filings floating around on it in some of the pics.
Thanks for all the inspiring work I see on here every day!Last edited by EisenFaust; 05-09-2010 at 05:03 AM. Reason: spelling

Very nicely done! Hand sanding is a lot of work and you did a great job! Pinning looks first class also. Keep them coming. I look forward to seeing more of your work.
