Imperial clean up
Here is my newly cleaned up Imperial Razor 20507, find it funny that the "I" is a "J" on mine...
This is the first razor I repined using the bits from Micro Fasteners, Loving them I did have trouble getting the poly spacers on my pins though Very tight fit. When I took off these scales I didn't think they would survive. The copper pin was HUGE and some how was pounded through the tang hole, as it was swadged in there pretty good... So I used both the larger stainless and smaller brass collars to insure I covered the hole in the scales, so far so good. I used the poly spacers inside (Liked how Max uses them as a tightner). I tapped it on till the blade just stands on it's own.
I find I don't like removing all the stains and pitting, unless it's at the edge, as I like a rustic look and feel. If I want shiny I'll buy a new one. So don't look for major overhauls on my restorations I clean em up and repair damaged parts... Good enough for me
This way I can also sell off extras at rock bottom $$ for start ups

Very nice Imperial you have there. I restored one for a friend recently and was surprised at how fine the shave was when I tested it. Congratulations on an exceptionally good find.

Not too shabby a shaver those Jmperials
I like your approach, keeping it authentic as possibleThe white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.
