Great job, you're a natural! Personaly I'd prefer a more toned down material for the scales but maybe I'm just boring

Are those scales made from the acryllic pen blanks you can get at Lee Valley? I was wondering whether those blanks were big enough to use, some of the wood they have for them is interesting to me. I think you did an excellent job on the blade, it mirroriffic.

lol...yes RobertH that is exactly what they are...they are JUST big enough depending on the razor and how much "end" you want past the blade. I just wish they had more color selection...I do have one of the orange "cracked ice" blanks sitting at home too just waiting for the right blade to come to me...lol. And thanks for your comments

Well that's good to know. I don't know if I'm into the acryllic patterns as much but definitely some of the wood ones they have are great.

Very nice looking restoration. I like the scales, and the contrasting washer/pins.

Great looking razor! The mirror finish is just If you posted a closeup picture of the tang I could also try to make out the writing on there, since I'm russian and who knows, maybe my messed up eyes will give me a different perspective.

Nice, job! I would call it a custom, though! IMO, I agree about the contrasting wedge and, while lots use them, those big washers kindof look like ...big washers! maybe some with smaller OD would be nicer? But hey, thats just my opinion.I bet it's rock solid, though ! I wonder if brass washers this size would not be better as well. Looks like you worked long and hard to peen them! You asked! Thanks for posting it. I would bet it's a fine, stiffer shaver! Love it!
