Default Joseph Rogers Near Wedge in Black Linen Micarta

I wasn't able to do too much to the blade, for fear of losing the awesome etch on the blade. I just tidied her up a little. The scales are a copy of the original shape. Ivory paper micarta wedge with SS pins and washers.

    Scales look great. Nice work!

That wedge doesn't look like a wedge though. Was the original shaped like that? How does it alter the closing?

Its not very wedgy at all, but there is a little taper to it. The original wedge was (I think) too narrow and allowed only the area of the blade below the barbers notch to rest in the scales. I widened it enough so that about half of the razor is in the scales when fully closed.

No problems opening or closing. It helps that the tang is quite square as well.

    Default Joseph Rogers

    Hello, dnjrboy:

That is about as barrel-chested a Joseph Rogers wedge I've seen. I can just hear the razor announcing: "Don't mess with the king."

A great looking razor. Well done, sir.

    Regards,
    Obie
