Default Mike (Modine)'s razor made by Alex Jacques (Philadelph)

Mike (Modine) purchased this razor at the Mid Mo Get Together this past weekend. Pics of it have not been taken so Lynn wanted these put on the site so everyone can see the beauty and skill that was put into the making of these. Philadelph's razors are a site to behold. The quality and beauty is so outstanding that one just wants to own one as Mike did. I believe the scales are made from Micarta and not sure what steel the blade is made from.
Sorry again for the pics but I did this so that Mike didn't have to wait for his razor after Lynn had pics taken of it.

That is one beautiful piece of work, I held it in my hands.... alas, it was only for a moment! Congrats go to Alex for the workmanship and to Mike for snatchin' that baby up!

Default Two more of Alex's Razors

It is with great reluctance that I post the following picture of 2 more of Alex's razors. I'm (not so) patiently attempting to wear my wife down to allow me to buy the Damascus razor at the top of the picture. If some one beats me to it, you'll see a grown man cry...

Alex, your razors are nothing short of genious. Not only are they beautiful, but they feel oh-so-right in my hand. I kept holding them all weekend praying that at least one of them would somehow permanently afix itself to my hand so I'd have to take it home

The first razor is my favorite of those we saw at the razor meet. The pics simply cannot convey what this razor is like in person. It is simply excellent!

Thanks guys- glad you like them! That first razor is O1 steel and the scales are "bulletproof G10". They are supposedly woven with Kevlar or something and claimed to be bulletproof, but I wouldn't test it! lol

I have the distinct pleasure of Alex making a razor for me that has been on order. His dedication to his art and the quality of his product rank with the best the world has to offer.
