Thanked: 1936Parting goodbyes: Torrey spike in ebony
I've restored quite a few blades for others, but have never sold any out of my rotation till the other day. This was one of my first restores/rescales and it was in my rotation for about a year & found itself in a cup with a rice bed for a while. A newer user was looking for "the best" razor, but was on a budget. Long story short is that his "best" razor is in the mail. I gave her one last run (shave was great), cleaned her up, re-stropped, and sent her on her way.
I would like to challenge all of you restorers to "pay it forward", just once, to a noob that seems genuine to you.

Thank you and God Bless, Scott

Looks good... pay it forwards are great, and I've never seen as many as we see right here on SRP.
I've seen many of the gentlemen doing the fantastic restores offer their work for free to those who are starting out. I don't need to name names, but thanks to all who give their time, talent, and possessions to help others.

I am impressed
Very impressed with your generosity AND your ability to restore. (Admittedly, I'm jealous as well.) Very well done.
I hope to be in the same position one day. I have four razors that are in line for some TLC. I think the whole pay it forward thing is great. I have promised to teach myself to make shoes and boot because I saw some hard working guys at church that couldn't afford work boots. That's not right.
I will keep an eye to your restorations as incentive.
Explain please the bowl of rice comment. Sounds interesting.
