Default Wester Bros. -- Anchor Brand

This razor had some staining, rust, and a crack near the heal so a little reshaping was needed to remove it. Sorry forgot to take the befores. The scales are snakewood with a yellow wood wedge. Pins brass over stainless and brass washers. As you can see I'm still not very good at fitting the wedge. Actual color is the brown, the reddish must have been the lighting. Still learning, so PLEASE some constructive comments.

A great save as well as first effort! I bet this one taught you a lot! Have some more fun with it and pop it apart and do it again.

Very creative with the heel well done.
Wedges can be tricky, just try to make sure the inside of the scales where the wedge will sit, and the sides of the wedge are as close to perfectly flat as you can get them, then there will be a nice tight fit with no gap.

Congrats on saving the blade paco !
Wedges can be a PITA but getting the surfaces flat & well mated is just a bunch of time & practice. Keep at it

Very nice scale material, and a handsome looking job: well done. I have one of these manganese steel razors due to go into new scales in the next week or so.
