Thanked: 1072Reworked & Rescaled Gotta 120
I picked this one up for $5 in a junky little antique store a few months back. I figured with only 5 bucks invested in it I may as well go to town and take out some artistic frustration. The scales were warped and cracked, the blade had active rust and was scratched like someone had tried to hone it on a brick.
The spine, toe, heel and tang all got some grinding and a rust spot on the cutting edge was honed out before being hand sanded to 2000 grit.
The scales are gloss black acrylic but I took them back to a matt finish, I like it a lot more than the gloss look. Translucent red acrylic wedge and NiAg pins.
I'm quite proud of this one, my best work so far i think.Last edited by baldy; 07-07-2010 at 12:35 PM.

Now that is really exceptional work!
Great job! That razor looks better than new, and the spine work looks great with those modern styled scales.
Love it!

I'm not usually a fan of the radical redesigns and funky scales... but THAT looks amazing! Excellent, excellent work, good sir!
