I bought this chipped razor as a practice razor to learn to hand sand. This is shots from my first attempt.

Without a crystal ball its hard to say what legacy the rust leaves behind in the form of weak steel.... But if the steel is healthy they could be reset, tho the first one will need the stabiliser modified once you get past that big chip.... & a nose job

Interesting grind marks on that Joshef Smith & Sons be a shame to loose those, but I'm probably the only one that would keep them lol

    Nice job!

As Oz says, hopefully there will be good metal once you actually go to reset the bevel and the rust wont have left any Swiss cheese holes in the edge.

Good luck and keep us posted!

Ha ha... I'd keep them too. when I first got here, I was so taken back by Max and Glen's awesome shiny blades that I didn't appreciate a few good scars. Now I'm tacking more toward the old look.

I'd keep'em too. I've turned a couple looking that bad into shavers. Give it a go there's nothing to lose.
