Thread: A bit different, Filarmonica #14 in Honey Horn

This one is a bit different, I had not seen a #14 like this one before and no before you ask there was not a ton on spine wear that I fixed...

Max you were right about the Jose Monserrat name last night in Chat... It was stamped that way, with the "Doble Temple" name below

Honey Ox horn from Masecraft, their new stuff, a bit of extra "Stinky" work to re-polish it, because it de-laminates almost instantly, so you have to sand and re-polish it out,, almost as hard as doing acrylics, to get the wet shine look back...
The blade was polished to a near perfect mirror, I used a Brass lined, Faux Ivory wedge, the liners are about as thin as it gets at .005... I will try later to get some close ups of it, but the 5 I took already basically sucked I was rushing the pics so I'll try tonight after work..
All Brass hardware to match the liners of course, I can't wait to test shave this one, to compare it to other #14's because the grind sure is different...

A side note here on how to get a "for sure" Horn test done, the Wife when she looked at the original blanks insisted that is was Acrylic because of the shine, Now one of our Shiba Inu dogs loves to look at the razors when they are done, so I showed him the blanks... One quick sniff, one tenative lick, and bam he was on them ready to chew, "Yep that's real horn" LOL

Don't worry Jason he didn't leave any teeth marks
