Default Wade & Butcher 7/8 in Walnut

This is a full restore/rescale I did for my father. It's been a long project because I didn't originally have all the tools I wanted to do the job. We found the blade covered in rust for $7 at an antique store, in its original scales, and thought it just might have life in it...

I did the scales in figured black walnut, as per his request (I kept the original scales to put on a different W&B Chopper) with a buffed polyurethane finish. They are like glass, lit from within! Horn wedge, brass hardware... Looking forward to teaching him to shave with this!

My computer fried this morning, so I won't be able to put up the before pics, but here are the afters:

    Awesome work Ben!

Black walnut is one of my favorite woods. The rounded contour and finish on that walnut makes it look fantastic.

Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.
