Default Nicest buffalo horn yet black and tri color pair with 7/8 blades

This is the nicest black buffalo horn scales I have made to date. The black buffalo looks like it has a high gloss finish on it but it is simply high grit sanded and then buffed to a mirror shine. The translucent streaks give it some very nice contrast. The wedge is Bacote, pins are 1/16 brass rod with a single brass washer. I wanted to keep the pins small and clean so they would not distract the eye from the scales. The blade is a 7/8 Friodur Spanish point with a scallop worked spine. Lovely razor.

The second is a tri color honey buffalo horn. Wedge is ebony. I used the same 1/16 brass rod but went to my usual brass over stainless washer setup.

Absolutely beautiful. You are not kidding about the quality of the horn on that one. You did a wonderful job on them both!

Both stunning sets of scales, very nicely done.
