    Thumbs up

Those scales really do the blade justice. I would easily term that one a "keeper" ;-)

Noswad: You have a gorgeous razor there, my friend! The spine work is beautiful, and those scales sing like a Siren! If she shaves a fraction as well as she looks, she's gonna make you a very happy man...
Thanks for all the compliments on the razor, guys. I got to shave with the razor this morning and I definitely heard the call of the Sirens.
It felt like I had them caressing my cheeks. Very smoooooth blade.

Glen, excellent job on the scales. Do not know how you did it, but the pattern in the two scales matched side to side like bookmatched wood veneer. Next time you come down this way let me know because I owe you a beer.

I've been looking at the scales, and looking at the scales, and looking at the scales. Wow. They are a nice departure from 'over the counter' re-scales.
The contouring is what gives them life and extra beauty and reduces the weight of the pieces at the same time
    Thanks for stretching the envelope!

I am in on the Beer

The Bookended pattern is not magic, I cut the blanks from blocks of acrylic not sheets, so I match the "graining" just the same as my wood scales

    Easy as pie..
