    Default Easy Resto/Rescale

I recently bought this Pilot razor and the back scale flew apart during my first shave with it. There was some corrosion around the pivot hole and part of the tang. I sanded lightly and buffed it so that none of the corrosion is noticeable. Then I installed faux ivory Thiers Issard scales with brass pins, nylon washers inside and brass and stainless washers outside.

I think it turned out OK and with a proper stropping, it shaves very nicely.
I didn't like the triangular pointed end of the scales so I rounded off the pivot end.

Looks like it turned out great! Could you post a pic of the whole razor? I need to replace some scales on a few razors that I broke and was looking at these T.I. scales, but would like to see them on a razor first before I buy them. Thanks

    To Milkylee

Here is the full length photo. I don't see anything wrong with Thiers Issard scales. They work for me. Try them and see how you like them...........
