Default Scales scales scales, a little horn crazy

I had another order for some horn scales. We have tri color, honey, black etc... All with Bacote wedges and ready for the blades. I am not installing the blades, just making the scales. Thought I would toss up a few assorted photos of them. These are for 5/8-8/8 blades.

Those look really wonderful, Dave! I especially like the endgrain bocote for the wedges, the contrast is really very nice. I've wanted that look with other woods and, well, missed the mark-- looks like you found the bulls-eye!

Very nice work. I just cut out the rough blanks on my first set of horn scales. Hope they turn out nearly as nice as those.

I rarely see horn with 3 different colors. They're pretty special. I just might have to put an order in for a couple pair Nice job.

Default The best of the best, Dave.

Your workmanship is amazing and superior to most. The surface finish you develop brings out the coloration that is simply too beautiful. Dazzle em with your talent, Dave.

Really? The kind of horn I'm getting, translucent blond, is mostly blond, with some spots of white and brown.
