They do look great. I like all three designs. Of course the shark will be a work of art.
Sounds like heat treating went extremely well. They should take a killer edge. 1095 is all I use. It's a little old school, but then so aren't straights.
You're right about the 3" wheel. You can get pretty hollow with that. I use a 2" to get to full hollow.
As previously stated, the hard part is over...let the fun begin!!!!!

Those are seriously awesome looking designs...the Jaws/shark one is real interesting. Careful as a shaver though. It may actually have a big bite .
Do you think the scales' design will affect its balance or does that matter. I would really love to see the finished product (and how it shaves). I am sure the it's going to be a nail biter waiting for this .
