Tuxedo Bokers
Ok, this will be my last "Hey, look! I can make scales!" post for a while.
I had one of these for a while, but the scales were broken. The other I just got recently. I thought it would be fun to make a set of identical scales, based on the originals. It was actually easier than I thought; I just micro-fastened all four scales together for the shaping process.
I'm pretty happy with the method I'm using to bevel the edges now, but I need to pay closer attention when I'm doing the hand sanding to take out the marks. I think I did a better job with my wedge pin location (thanks, Glen), though I definitely made one of the wedges smaller and wider than I'd have liked. In other words, I think I have the basic process down, but need to work on the final finish.
I haven't pinned the razors yet, because I'm not exactly sure what I'd like to do with them.
