Just getting back from a weekend in Philly....I want to thank Jim (Drac) for taking great pics of the process. He did a really good job. You can't have too many pics.
For those of you who aren't familiar with his work, he is a master knife maker. His work is superb, especially his filework. Within 30 minutes of knowing him, I thought Jim was one of the smartest fellows I had ever met. And I think most straight users are above the norm!!! Look for some nice razors to come from him in the future.
I will post pics of my razors we worked on when they get completed.
Once again, Jim...It was a pleasure having you over!

Great photos...Great information. It was a real pleasure to see how a master craftsman creates a work of straight razor art.

Fantastic, I always glean so much from seeing Bob's set up.
Love the worked spine, is that a rope. Maybe the worked spines could be the subject of future posts.
So many great custom makers out there, need to start saving the pennies. What's the waiting list time Bob.

Heh. I agree with you, but y'know... you only ever hear that on the SRP boards. ;>
I suspect no one at the local MENSA meeting is scratching their forehead, excaiming "Holy Sh!t We're never going to figure this out! Someone see what those guys at SRP think about this!"
