Default Double Duck Satinedge - Extreme corrosion

Got this blade from Bkratchmer at the Mo. meet, something just to play with. However it came out fairly good and was sprisingly able to get it to shave after really working some metal off the edge that had some corrosion there too. It was so bad I didnot take any before pics because I didn't anticipate any afters. You can see how bad it was by the now shinny pits. When I ordered wood for scales Idid not mark them and lost the shipping invoice so can't tell ya what the scales are made of. But here are some pics anyway.

    Thanks Ben, Want it back?

Sorry I didn't reply right away to your PM, Steve! Funny, I had just been thinking about sending you one to see how you were doing since you hadn't been on SRP for a while.

    Good to see you back!

I will vouch for this being a very impressive save. I guess I'll have to give you something more challenging next time?

Good move to put it into wood. I've heard that once the celluloid has the rot it will always bring the corrosion back even if you get it all out of the blade. Nice save.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
