    Default filarmonica rescale

I wanted to show off the great work that Ernie (nerdman on B&B) did on my Filarmonica. I bought it a couple of months ago as a NOS. It had the cheap, plastic standard scales on it but I really liked the subtle mint green color so I asked Ernie if he could match it. I also wanted the Filarmonica written on the new scales in what I'd describe as vintage automotive font because it would match the age of the razor.

Well, this is the result. To say I'm happy about the result is an understatement. Ernie took the brief and took it to a whole new level. The razor has been completely transformed into something very different but I think still captures the essence of a Filarmonica.

Ernies currently got a 15/16 French Point LR Harner blade of mine at the moment and I can't wait to see what he come up with for that.

That razor is out of this world!! Outstanding there is not a thing I do not like about it. The color and the writting really give it a cool vintage look!!

    Default John, that's gorgeous

I'd love to know how he handled the name on the scale. 'Looks wonderful. Now wonder you're happy. 'Grats, and kudos for singing the praises of a guy's good work. That's classy.

Wow, very creative. Looks like the lettering is on the 'backing'. The closup of the wedge shows there is a backing material to the scales...very interesting.

    Beautiful.

Nuts, If this was done in the 50's, then carried through to contemerary times, many DE shavers would have converted back to the straight shave.

Now that looks bloody nice John. I'm still scratching my head about exactly how Ernie is doing that lettering.

For the record, the font is called "Raceway" and I agree, it really suits that razor well.

Nice work. Looks like the logo is on the liner rather than the scales.
The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.
