Here's an update pic for all of ya'll.
As you can imagine, the holiday work has been piling up and it's been a bit hard to get quality time to work on this project.
Now, I know that it doesn't seem like I've done much from the last update, however, the time difference between the two is somewhere around 8 - 10 hours of cutwork.
When I first started this project, I wanted to do something for Joe that was just flat cool, and it's turned into a bit over the top even for me.
However, we are in the home strech, and the end is getting closer with every blade that I break. lol

It really is astonishing work, John. You're setting the bar to levels that SRP has never seen before.

Having done pierce work in jewelry (at very much a lower level) I am amazed at the work.

I keep coming back to this thread to peruse the pics of your work! Your pics must be stunning me because I can't find the right words to fit the quality of your work.

Well, heck Joe, we can't have you drooling over those old pics.....
so here's the new one
The second side is now cut, and I've just started laying out the engraving for it. it's hard to see the light lines on scale, but I use a steel stylus to lightly draw in the detail work before I cut it. The detail work that you can see is done by chasing, and is used for base reference once I remove the main pattern.
enjoy!!
