W&B Chopper -- And She's Mine! MINE!
As some of you know, I have a razor collection that could be described as "junk." In spite of my restoration hobby, I only have 3 shavers-- a beaten Torrey, a tarnished ERN, and a Barber's Pet. The only restorations I have kept are the failed experiments, the stuff that I just couldn't hand off to someone else because it was less than perfect...
...until now!
A couple weeks ago I was finishing up a few razors for a fellow who wanted me to clean up some old family heirlooms. I had planned to come back up to school Tuesday morning, but I woke up and said "I'm making one for me!" and so I took off Tuesday, dug out a rusty old W&B, and began working... a lot of buffing later, some acrylic, some pins, and this is what came out.
Based the scales on a traditional W&B design, but made them with a really deep filed profile.
I just set up a new light box, and I'm going to have to play around with the lights... these aren't as good as I want them to be, but I'm not going to have time to tinker with the lighting for a few more weeks, so they'll do.

Thanked: 1072Wow, that came up Beautiful. After all the razors youve done you deserve a sweet one like that for the personal collection.

An elegant solution for a brutal blade. The workmanship is exquisite! The pins are almost NOS; but nicer!
