    Default Pearlduck in Gold Pearl

This is a Pearlduck Special No1 that was in worse shape than I originally thought. Handsanded from 220-2000. The scales are Gold Pearl Acrylic from Masecraft, shaped by hand and handsanded from 100-2000, then wetsanded, then finished with Mother's Polish.

Still weak with my pinning, didn't get them all the same size. I was getting tired and lazy, and was too excited to get it together.
Haven't honed it yet. I have several eBay Ducks that I hope to make all with these scales, of different colors.

    Ohhhhh, that's pretty!
Wonderful detail with the notch matching the tail radius.

    Default Pearlduck

    Hello, souschefdude:

I have the Pearlduck Special No. 1 as well. Mine was a gift from a friend, and in perfect shape. Lynn honed it for me, and it has turned into a good shaver.

Obviously mine needs no work. Yours, however, has been given a new life with your talented hand. Well done, sir. That is a lovely Pearlduck.

    Regards,
    Obie

    Default Also working on one

Mine had surface flash rust, but nothing deep that a pencil eraser and some Mother's wouldn't polish out. It cleaned up nicely. It has the original blueing on the spine/shank/tang about 90% intact.

I've not done a rescale job before, and was going to try in deer antler. 'Likely not the easiest first scale job, but would look nice. I like the bone/antler scales. I may change gears & go w/ the acrylic. Your work looks really beautiful, Chef.
