Default A New Razor and a stand to boot

    The Stand
I was working on some G10 scales and my belt sander broke right in the middle. Aaarrgghhh I said. What am I to do? Took the sander in for repair and began to make myself a razor and brush stand out of stuff I had lying around. It doesn't look too nice in the pics here but it's pretty cool. Old piece of heavy gauge copper, a left over tile from my fireplace facade, a piece of polished buffalo horn and voila! You can hardly tell it's all epoxied into place.

    The Razor
I tried to do something different with the G10 so I left the scales a little heavier and left cut lines down the sides. It looks nice. The blade is a wedge and is pretty thick and the dark face stands out nicely against the light green. Oh...my sander came back today good as new

    Steve,
Sorry to hear about the belt sander breaking down . But looks like nothing was wasted. I actually like the copper look on that stand. very creative and nice . Way to go. I also love that blade. Nice work (and etching)

Nice job Steve!! Very cool blade!! I like the rustic look of the stand with the slate base, it all works well together

That all came together very complementary. Those washers (silver bead end caps?) look they were made to go with that blade.
