Maybe oil can do tarnish on ivory
I never use oil on ivory...
In fact i nerver use anything on ivory, just little sanding, if necessary, (with 8000/12000grit paper) and polishing (with diamond paste)

Thanked: 23i meant when i oil the blade and the tang sometimes oil gets on the scales and i don't want to use something that will affect the ivory in anyway

Thanked: 8It looks fantastic. The ivory seems to be in really good condition. I have some Joseph Rodgers and their scales don't look as nice as yours.
