Default Wade & Butcher in Black Horn

    Hello,

A customer sent me his Wade & Butcher in need of new set of scales. The blade too was heavily stained and pitted.

    Here's the before:

    Classy.

I'd guess with WR stamp, that's near as early of a Wade Butcher you could get. Not a dating expert but I understand Williams Reign ended 1837, Wade and Butcher started 1818.

Thanks keeping it alive, putting back to a solid purpose it was meant to be in.

DROOL, shame to have lost the original scales but at least the blade looks to be ready for another 200 years of use

It looks good. What did you use for your scale material?

Nice. NOTHING, IMHO, shaves as well as SHEFFIELD steel. My favorite blade shape and style.

Great job! You have suceeded in keeping it authentic while preserving it's original integrity while creating a shaver! I hope you saved those collars?? Kudos
