Cool 8/8 Graham - Custom Restore in Tiger Acrylic

For one of the guys outta the Great White North, this is a brand I had not seen before, Graham stamped Solingen, a big ole 8/8 shoulder-less
We went with the Tiger Acrylic and a matching wedge Pierre wanted it "Bright"
The blade was polished out to a Satin Glow the steel was just a bit dull so no pits of rust to deal with...
I can't wait for the test shave in the morning on this one..
even at 8/8 she still balances out to just behind the thumb notch...
The acyclic was polished out to 12k Micro-Mesh then PlastX, the pins are Nickel Silver with bi-metal washers..

That razor looks vaguely familiar. Have I seen it on youtube?

Once again Glen, you have done a beautiful job. I love satin finishes they always look so elegant.

I love this style of finish on my personal razors too, a nice satin, then just a touch of CrOx and Chrome red to give it some smooth glow...
I realize many people love the mirror but one scratch shows up so bad it drives me nutz

Good eye Garrit same color of scales but that Youtube one was a 5/8 Boker

Ok, you're definitely going to have to do that on the next blade I get from you.

I remember now the two bokers one in this color and one possibly stock.

Nice job, Glen. I really like the tiger acrylic. I think it will be really easy to find in the darker winter mornings of the Great White North. Congrats to the owner.

Is that a magnifying glass built into the Starrett ball peen hammer? Interesting idea. Starrett makes some great machinist tools.

Could I ask what grit you use for the satin finish?
