    Re the cell welding. I think Charlie (Spazola) once mentioned using acetone to weld some celluloid but thas'all I know.
    The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

    Yes I have used the Acetone to melt them to remove Inlays and I have tried it for repairs -But- it is not universal it is rather weird that on some celluloid it works rather well, but on others it doesn't work at all.. I know the Neil Miller has done a ton of research on the old stuff and he was saying that there are different formulas and I would whole heartedly agree there...

    I'd bet you have to dissolve some celluloid in the acetone to make a kind of glue but then of course the formula of the particular celluloid may be a deciding factor too.
