Re the cell welding. I think Charlie (Spazola) once mentioned using acetone to weld some celluloid but thas'all I know.“The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.”

I'd bet you have to dissolve some celluloid in the acetone to make a kind of glue but then of course the formula of the particular celluloid may be a deciding factor too.
