My turn
Hi everyone! so this is my first attempt of making an straight razor restoration. I got a blade off e-bay kinda cheap and thought i would make a try of making own scales and so. I cleaned the blade up and it was in realy good shape, just needed som cleaning and polishing, there is some dots here and there but i dident want to use any sandpaper to scratch the blade since there wasent any scratches from before. Then i began with the scales, shaping them and sanding everything. After that i drenched them in a epoxy resin and let them soak up and harden. I got hold of a brass rod that i made the pins out of and put everything together, took me two days to finish of everything. Im not going to link any pics ill just forawrd you to my album
Thanks for any comments!
Take care!

Nice job. I have liked the look of the wide scales but have wondered how they would feel in my hand while stropping. What has been your experience?

Thanks Tim glad you liked it
Oh well the honing and stropping is belive it not realy pleasant, since its sluggish to open right now and the blade is almost locked in when its folded straight out. So the big scales almost gives an advantage when stropping and honing, you dont have to put much weight on the blade just hold it tight
