Thread: Soft touch attempt. :-]

I was happy when I came accros this one. I could have honed it as is, BUT I had to clean it up a little. Of course to get at the rust inbetween the scales I had to unpin it an polish the scales a little. I restrained myself and put it back together. Each time I looked at it I couldn't get past the ding in the top of the scale on one side. Out came the file and sandpaper. A few minutes later and I am much happier with the looks. I try to appreciate the patina and the history it represents but I have this urge to make them shiny and new. This ones going to the rotation for a while and i will see if I can keep it away from the buffers and new scales.
