Max, if you, Lynn, or any number of members said Wusthof was great, the price would go up. If I say it, nothing happens.
The last two I saw on eBay both went for over $300. But they were NOS Wusthof Tridents covered tang 13/16ths razors with coffin and instructions. Gorgeous razors.
Something like a Trident Cutlery Barber's King can be had for much less simply because it is usually not sold as a Wusthof, although marked as a Wusty but without a trident.

Good stuff Max. How many pieces of abalone did you use?
it looks seemless. I like it a lot. BTW... Wusthof is known to have THE best kitchens knives in the world. All of the chefs and cooking show people only use Wusthof. They are serious quality.

Thanked: 522Wustof
Nice Ed Wustof razor, Max. Is it possible that he had a brother named Carl Wustof. He also made some very good quality razors. None of my razor books list either of the Wustofs so I have no information from printed sources at all concerning Ed or Carl.
The Wustof in the photo is the "Wednesday" razor from a seven day set.
Can anyone come up with info on either Ed or Carl Wustof??JERRY
OOOPS! Pass the styptic please.

WOW! that hollow part of the handle! Nice detail! Very beautiful. Allthough, it looks like the abelone shells have been puzzled to fit... and that leaves lines .
But very nice.
Regards.
