Very impressive work. You did better than making lemonade from lemons.... I think you made a new flavor. Like was aid before, fit and finish just great.

Thanked: 23have been thinking of doing something similar with two wedges with cracked ivory but i was thinking of glueing them tp brass or copper sheeting,i have read that you can't glue ivory down as it needs to move but you got them looking great any advice?

I used the goop because it does not harden too much I also oversized the holes in the ivory on the pivot pin to hopefully allow for expansion.Barbur's collars are like rivet bodies. You can grind them down to the level of the material , keeping excessive presssure from the material.I guess time will tell how it fares! Many Thanks!

It's a shame when special, beautiful things break. Wonderful to see you had the vision for this resurrection. With your workmenship and attention to detail, the finished product is arguably nicer than any one of the original complete units may have been.
Well done.

Nice save. I always hate to see old scales discarded. Well done.
The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.
