Genco Goldseal JR. Restoration
So as me being a newbie restorer I have started to look at my own collection of razors and starting to really "restore" them. This goldseal Jr. was in decent shape when i orignally got it, so not to much handsanding was necassary, I think I started my progression at 325 and stopped at 600 before I took her to my buffers. After to talking to Glen I opted for the HF buffer to see if I like restoring before I shell out money for the big guns. But surprisingly these HF buffers are really great for the money. So I did the Emory, Stainless, White Rouge , Crox , progressions and this blade is looking pretty great. After hand polishing with with Mothers, I am very pleased with the results.
As for the scales I had cleaned them with polish, and took them to the NOVUS cleaning progression(thanks to Max for his input on this) . Followed by a light buff on the White rouge and the scales look brand new.
This was also my 2nd real pinning job and I am happy with the outcome. Still have alot to learn but this is a very fun hobby
Sorry for no before pics i deleted them on my ebay account
