Be careful with the grinder. They're a thin blade.
I'm kinda concerned about that shiny spot in the middle of the edge. Pitting ?The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

Yes about in the middle of the edge showing some pitting. How bad will that be??? The only spot on the razor.....

Well, it's in a really bad spot to have pitting ie the edge, so only honing will reveal the answer. Really should try setting a bevel before any restoring so as to assess the edge

Thanks, been reading up on this type of problem, can be major trouble. I gess the deph and the closenss to the edge of the pit could not allow a good bevel??

Can be a problem but you my be lucky too. See how it shapes up.

Seems you cleaned all the rust out of it . Maybe it's not so deep
