5/8 W&B Ninja blade...
Picked up a Wade & Butcher razor last year from an antique store that I thought was very curious. It had been modified by, assumably, it's original owner. The original scales had been repinned, and the wedge end had been double pinned in a bizarre way that included a double wedge. The blade had been filed a bit to create some crude jimps. Not only that, but it had been put away in a place where it hadn't rusted at all but had taken on a very dark patina.
BEFORE
For my weekend project, I broke the ole boy down and cleaned only the tang as I wanted to give it a slight offset on the patina that it had on the blade. Borrowing ideas I had from my last horn rescale, I used an old woodshop technique to avoid damaging the horn with the drill bit by taping the bottom of the horn and it seemed to do the trick. This time, I domed my washers and it gave me a slightly better asthetic than the flat washers I had used before.

Looks great! I love the rich patina on the blade, and your scale design is very well done. I think you will now agree when I say that doming washers is the littlest thing that makes the biggest difference in how your work looks... it's amazing what a difference it makes.

I've seen double wedges made from ivory piano keys before but not that double pinning.
