Considering the tools and materials at your disposal, you've done well. You have a good looking functional razor. Very nice blade too by the way.

Grant's correct! You don't really need a drill press for that anyway. Check with jewelers and watchmakers for collar ideas. Craft stores as well. Everyone has to start somewhere and you have built a razor! Way to go!

Wow thanks for nice comments thought I would be declared an idiot on this forum with so many great straight razor makers. Well I've orderd some rods and washers from e-bay now so hopefully the next razor will look alot better. Thanks for the good advice Sharptonn I'll look into that closer maybe I can find something from a jewlers store. Oh yeah and btw I'll upload some before pictures as soon as I can.

    Take care everyone!

Everyone has to start some where and now you have your start. Each one will get a little easier and you will see the improvement with each and everyone. You did a great job for the first one.

    Default washers..

hej Sibban! Ill do this in english out of respect for our fellow readers.
You, know, i had the same problem as you do. Not finding washers.. But, i found out that the local bike-shop carry those as a standard more or less. Its DT-swiss washers for spokes. you use them when you build fancy wheels for you bicycle. they are about 2,1 mm on the inside and 3.2 on the out. works like a charm and they are cheap aswell. you can get a whole case with about 100 for about 100 skr.
Så, lycka till. stick till cykelbutiken och be dom beställa åt dig om dom inte har hemma. följer med i princip alla fina ekrar från dt. jag har gjort typ 4 knivar med dom och det funkar och ser skitbra ut.
