    Default Finished Some Walnut

Just put some finish on these last night and set them just a minute ago. I couldn't wait to click the cell phone.
The first is a high graded three band silver tip around 24mm in a nice old walnut I removed from my friends front yard. He wanted a longer handle and I hope I accommodated well.

The second is something that I rarely do; I made one of the knots that I set aside for myself. This is around 22mm boar, very high quality. I set this in the same walnut as the other, then I applied a band of rod wrapping thread on either side of the bead. This was just for fun.

If you can't tell I prefer round bottoms on my brushes this keeps them from being dried upside down. Both unfinished.

    Finally, both done.

Very nice. Seeing these reminds me I want a brush with a longer handle

It seems like almost every order I get recently is for longer handles. I have a couple for my scuttles, but even some face latherers have been wanting them. They do allow me more room to play.
