Can you provide us a bit more info? What wood did you use? Finish? Wedge or Spacer? What razor did you fit the scales with?,...

I forgot the type of wood , it is not exotic or anything. Its maybe one grade up from pine. It started life as 3/4" x 2" x 2' . Its one piece , no added spacer , Dovo best quality 5/8 carbon steel pinned with a small nail , just under 5/64 , I didn't mic it. Then I cut the head off of another nail , drilled a hole through it and used it as a washer. I did bugger it up a little trying to displace the metal of the nail on the washer side holding it with vice grips.

Its a lovely blade, the dovo best gives a nice shave. It was my first.

That was some pretty out of the box thinking with the nail and making a washer out of another nail. I admire your working with what you have attitude and innovative thinking. I like the shape of the scales.
