Thanked: 1072RE-Restored Royal Invicta
This was my first razor, and first re-scale too. Here's the original post http://straightrazorpalace.com/works...ic-scales.html At the time I was more than happy with how it looked, but now that I've learnt a little more about straight razor restoration I was feeling the urge to give this beauty an overhaul. The new scales are a dark tint acrylic with translucent red acrylic wedge. Nickel silver pins with S/Steel washers. I did a better job cleaning up the blade this time, took it back to 220 grit and back up again. There are a few pits remaining but I didn't want to loose the etch.
Note: I should say that these scales are obviously influenced by Max's unique style, but that I'm not trying to cash in on that style, I just dig it & that this razor will never be sold. It will remain in my personal collection until the day comes to pass it on to one of my boys. Hope thats cool Max.
