Thanked: 13247Vinatge Restore: U.D.F. & T. co New York BO-RAS-IC Razor
A complete Vintage Restore using all the old parts,,,
Before pics:
This razor needed a bit of work getting it back to factory DPilot83 and I decided to take it all the way back as far as I could manage,,, The blade was polished out to a nice Satin finish but the scales required much more... The warp need to be straightened out, then all the brown oxidation was sanded off using 800 grit wet-r-dry polished with 1500-2400-4000 grit Micromesh, Then a few applications of Turtle Wax liquid rubbing compound by hand... New pins lock washers and bearing washers in brass... Now she is ready for a few more years of service....

Good work! I like to see them kept together. That blade is a nice one with jimps galore. Kudos!

Nice save on the blade G & you know the razor gods are smiling when the bakelite holds together & turns out like that
The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

Thanked: 13247You just ain't kidding Oz man, that wedge pin wanted to give me fits I had to clip and file it on both sides, and use Kroil on it, plus twisting the scales around before I finally got it out... It was rusted in there tight... I kept thinking it would have been easier to build a new set hehehe but you know as well as any of us once you set yer mind ant nothing going to stop us except a Snap, Crackle, Pop
