    They have gotten progressively lighter with each generation. The latest ones I have worked on have had the wood sanded well below 1/8" and the copper is actually very light. I don't have an exact weight measurement (as I don't have a scale to measure) but the "heaviness" comes mainly in appearance due to the weathering of the metal.

    Tumtatty, great work again on the scales. I have to admit to never having heard of steampunking prior to this, however I really like it.

    I'm kind of new to it myself Stu. I had seen it in movies a lot and liked it,but I only heard that it had a name about a year ago.
