Default Wostenholm frameback in recycled clothes

My razor buddy John and I send each other a "mystery razor" on occasion. Quite fun!
He sent me this old frameback last time. It had a really bad edge and rust corn flakes galore. I wish I had taken a pic before! The horn scales were big and bulky for such a light weight blade and were deeply carved with initials. I decided to go to the junk pile. These bone scales were from 2 different razors so I reshaped and cleaned them as best possible along with an old lead wedge. This one will be a personal shaver, so I went for the "old and tight" deal. Baburs collars go thru the stainless spacers and an aluminum rivet body was pounded into the pin hole. It pinned up nice and tight, metal to metal, closes center and stands up! Lucky! I took it to the grinder and got the chips out, making a nice smile. Nice patina everywhere! To the hones!
Now John wants it back! Thanks, Tom
